JJ ECC83S/12AX7 has a sprial wrapped filament, producing very low noise and microphonics. Overall a great sounding tube suitable for all stages of amps and recording equipment.

This is the tube we at Thermal Relief have used for years in Drawmer EQ's and compressors. We have also found it's low noise especially suitable for Mic Pre's.

As for guitar amps, these tubes are extremely rugged due to their internal construction, proving them ideal for 2 x 12 combo amps. Overall a great tube for all applications.
